Health & Safety

I am looking forward to helping families celebrate once again with my fun services!  Let's work together to keep us all Happy, Safe and Healthy.......

Current COVID-19 regulations and guidelines for Face Painters fall under the Beauticians/Makeup Artist category.  The Qld Government Covid19 roadmap to recovery has up-to-date guidelines that we all must adhere to, thus ensuring the ongoing safety and well-being of everyone in our community.  Here is the link if you would like to check it out - Roadmap to easing Restrictions | Queensland Government (covid19.qld.gov.au)

Rest assured that I have adopted extra hygiene practices and policies to ensure the health and safety of you, your guests and our artists.  A detailed COVID Safe Plan will be forwarded to you with your invoice.

These will differ slightly for Private Parties and Corporate Events, however below are some guidelines that apply for all bookings.  Specific Health & Safety guidelines that will be applicable to you and/or your event, will be sent with your invoice.

  • Hygiene & Safety are extremely important to me and I reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone that has a contagious skin condition or who appears to be unwell. This includes, but is not limited to - allergies, mosquito bites, cold / flu symptoms, cold sores, conjunctivitis, sties, eczema, psoriasis, acne, open cuts and grazes, chicken pox, sneezing, runny nose, rashes, red eyes etc.  This ensures the safety not only of myself, but to anyone else whom I will be painting.  Please remember (especially in these times) that the health and safety of all is paramount.

  • I use professional cosmetic grade paints and products which are specifically formulated for painting on the skin.  I must be advised (prior to being painted) of any allergies or skin sensitivity (including, but not limited to any adverse reaction to face paints previously).  I accept no liability for any allergic reaction to the products I use.  It is recommended that if you are unsure regarding allergies, a small test patch can be carried out on the arm.  The face painting will then be delayed to assess any reaction - It is each person’s responsibility to let me know of any subsequent reaction.

  • Children (and their actions) always remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians.  Whilst working I am focused on the person being painted and at times I move, or step back quickly.  Please ensure that children are supervised by adults at all times, are kept a safe distance from my immediate working area and do not touch any of my equipment.  I accept no liability for injuries caused by failure to comply with this request.

  • Although I will always do my best to keep everyone smiling and happy, I will use my own discretion when painting a child under the age of three.  I reserve the right to refuse face painting if a child is showing signs of nervousness or distress.  I will always offer another option such as a small design on the hand however, I will not paint anyone who does not want to be painted.  This may mean stopping half way through if a child changes their mind.

  • To enable me to do an amazing job, anyone wanting to be painted must have a clean and dry face.   Please note: I will not be responsible for cleaning a child’s face, however there will be wipes available for use by the caregiver.

  • For removal of face paints, it is recommended to use unscented face/baby wipes and/or warm soapy water.  Glitter Tattoos can be removed with baby oil or olive oil.

  • I will be as careful as possible when painting, however I accept no responsibility if face paint gets transferred onto clothing, carpets or other soft furnishings.  Clothing that has been in contact with face paint should be cold soaked overnight in washing powder (or vinegar and bi-carb) before washing normally.
